SFDA held work conference for the distribution of the Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China (2010 Edition)

On October 13, 2009, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) held work conference for the distribution of the Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China (2010 Edition) in Beijing. Mr. Wu Zhen, the deputy commissioner of SFDA attended the work conference. He said that the Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China is a drug code for drug quality control, safety, and effectiveness; it is the essential component part of the state drug standards, which must be strictly obeyed in drug research, production, distribution, usage, and administration.

The number of new varieties and the range of revisions in 2010 edition are much more than those of other editions. The Pharmacopoeia of People’s Republic of China (2010 Edition) epitomized the new achievements in the works of the state drug standards.
