The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) conducted an assessment of the assay methods of asbestos in powder cosmetic and its raw material containing talcum powder, and then issued the Assay Method of Asbestos in Powdered Cosmetic and Its Raw Material（Interim）. The public health administration departments and the drug regulatory departments at provincial level are requested to implement it accordingly.

Currently, there is no assay methods available for the purpose.
