NICPBP and USP sign the second round Memorandum of Understanding

Upon the invitation of Roger Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Li Yunlong, Director of China's National Institute for the Control of Pharmaceutical and Biological Products (NICPBP), leading a delegation visited United States Pharmacopeial Convention on March 3,2009. Both parties discussed and exchanged views on cooperation details and signed the second round Memorandum of Understanding formally. The cooperation will cover collaborative study of reference material, development and validation of analytical procedures and technology, methods and techniques for detecting counterfeit and substandard drugs, quality control of biological products and exchange of technical professionals. The cooperation between NICPBP and USP will enable sharing of scientific expertise and research achievements with each other and contribute to the improvement of drug quality.
