SFDA issues The Second National Drug Quality Announcement of 2008

To intensify drug supervision and ensure drug safety for the public, according to the 2008 national drug sampling and testing plan, in the first half of 2008, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) organized nationwide appraisal sampling testing for shuanghuanglian injection, nifedipine tablets (sustained-release tablets); carried out special inspections to the manufacturing enterprises of leflunomide bulk substances and preparations; sampled and tested some key drug products. The results were released in the Second National Drug Quality Announcement of 2008 which was issued recently.
