SFDA issues notice on implementation of GB 9706.1-2007 Medical Electrical Equipment—Part I: General Requirements for Safety

GB 9706.1-2007, Medical Electrical Equipment—Part I: General Requirements for Safety has been issued by the Standardization Administration of China and will come into effect as of July 1, 2008. To effectively implement the standards and further guarantee the safety of medical electrical equipment available in the market, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) recently issued a notice specifying relevant requirements.
