From June 18 to June 23, 2008, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) organized three working groups and carried out unannounced inspections to some drug manufacturers producing anabolic agents and peptide hormones. In case that any illegal action of producing or distributing anabolic agents and peptide hormones was found out in the unannounced inspections, the enterprise should be strictly punished in accordance with Anti-Doping Regulations and the Notice on Special Rectification on Production and Distribution of Stimulants from Drug Sources.

In early July, SFDA will instruct provincial food and drug regulatory departments to conduct unannounced inspections to drug manufacturers producing and distributing anabolic agents and peptide hormones.
