SFDA, NDRC and MOH intensify the management of designated production, use and price of community and rural essential drugs



To further intensify the management of designated production, use and price of community and rural essential drugs, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) recently jointly issued Notice on Intensifying the Management of Designated Production, Use and Price of Community and Rural Essential Drugs.

The Notice requires that drug regulatory departments shall strengthen the quality supervision in the full process of the production and circulation of designated produced community and rural essential drugs and ensure the safety and effectiveness of designated produced drugs. The price authority shall intensify the price supervision on designated produced drugs; the health authority shall strengthen the management of the procurement and use of designated produced community and rural essential drugs to ensure the healthy and steady progress of the work of designated produced community and rural essential drugs.
