On June 9, 2006, the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) approved under Special Drug Approval Procedures China-made raw materials and capsules of oseltamivir phosphate, which provided a sound foundation for China to be engaged in the prevention and treatment of human flu pandemic. 

The raw materials and capsules of oseltamivir phosphate are manufactured by Shanghai Sunve Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. and Yichang Changjiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, which have been authorized by Switzerland-based Roche to manufacture oseltamivir phosphate in China.
