Notice of Strengthening the Supervision of Food Containing Poppy Seeds was jointly issued on August 29, 2005 by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, and the State Food and Drug Administration to strengthen and standardize the supervision of food containing poppy seeds and protect public health.
