The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) issued a notice on June 30, 2005, which required human rabies vaccines to be regulated through lot release of biological products from August 1, 2005.

Provisions for the Lot Release of Biological Products  (SFDA Order No. 11) was promulgated and took effect on July 13, 2004.
