The Pharmacopoeia of People's Republic of China (2005 ED.) is to take effect from July 1, 2005. The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) lately issued a notice that detailed relevant issues regarding the implementation of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2005).

The notice also stressed that SFDA encourages and supports drug manufacturing enterprises, research institutions and others in implementing technological innovations and advancements, promoting the continuous optimization of production techniques and improving drug quality.
