The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA) issued 2004 National Essential Drug List on Dec 21, 2004. The new list covers 2033 products, including 1260  Chinese Proprietary Medicines and 773 chemical and biological products. The list has been included in the database of SFDA's official website.
