The State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Health, General Customs Administration, State Administration of Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine jointly issued Interim Measures for the Release of Food Safety Supervision Information on November 22, 2004 to further strengthen China's food safety supervision. The Interim Measures set down the scopes, types, and legal responsibility of the release of information.
