The two-day First National Grassroots Food and Drug Supervision Forum was held in Taizhou, Zhejiang Province on November 18, 2004. The theme of the forum was "grassroots food and drug supervision and scientific, democratic and administration by law". The forum addressed hot spots and difficult situations to standardize grassroots food and drug law enforcement as the Administrative Licensing Law of the People's Republic of China was implemented and a special program for national food and drug law enforcement was conducted.
