General Office
(Emergency Management Office)

Responsibilities:
(1) draw up, organize and implement rules and regulations on government affairs of general administration; (2) responsible for organization and service work of leading party group meetings, bureau affair meeting, director office meeting, national food and drug supervision work meetings and symposiums, and management of national meeting plan of general administration; (3) draw up, organize and implement major work plans and focuses of general administration; (4) undertake secretarial work of leading party group and leaders of general administration; (5) responsible for information on governmental affairs and duty &guard of governmental affairs, and take the lead in coordinating construction and management of governmental affairs information of general administration; (6) responsible for supervision of important written comments, agreed and approved affairs and other major matters by leading party group and leaders of general administration; (7) responsible for dealing with official and confidential documents of general administration, guiding in handling official documents of administrations directly under general administration, organizing and handling suggestions of deputy to the National People's Congress and proposals of member of the national committee of CPPCC; (8) responsible for secrecy management of general administration, and guide secrecy work of administrations directly under general administration; (9) responsible for archives administration and making governmental affairs transparent of general administration, and guide relevant work with food and drug supervision and administration system; (10) responsible for handing and reception of complaint correspondence and visit from the public; (11) organize and formulate food and drug safety emergency system establishment plan, and promote emergency system and capacity establishment; (12) organize, formulate, supervise and implement food and drug safety emergency management system; (13) organize and formulate food and drug safety accidents emergency plan, guide implementation of emergency training and exercise; (14) coordinate and guide relevant business departments with general administration and branch to implement emergency response, investigation and treatment of major food and drug safety accidents(Relevant business departments with general administration and branch are responsible for specific work of food and drug safety accidents emergency response and investigation & treatment respectively); (15) coordinate in establishing mutual reporting and joint disposal mechanism of major drug adverse effects and major medical devices adverse event; (16) undertake other matters assigned by general administration.
