CFDA Vice Minister Liu Peizhi leads delegation to visit New Zealand and signs cooperation arrangement

Upon the invitation of New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries, Liu Peizhi, Deputy Director of the Office of Food Safety Commission of the State Council and Vice Minister of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), led a delegation to visit New Zealand from October 30 till November 3, 2013.

During the visit, Liu Peizhi met with Nikki Kaye, New Zealand Minister for Food Safety, and Carol Barnao, Deputy Director General of New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries. Both sides signed the Food Safety Cooperation Arrangement between the China Food and Drug Administration of the People’s Republic of China and the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries, and pledged to enhance cooperation and exchanges in the field of food safety supervision, risk management, risk communication, emergency response and personal training.
