On the afternoon of September 21, 2012, Yin Li, Commissioner of the State Food and Drug Administration (SFDA), met with the delegation led by Ms. Edith Schippers, Minister of Health, Welfare and Sports of the Netherlands. Both sides exchanged opinions on the follow-ups after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries’ drug regulatory authorities, the enhancement of supervision over active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) under the new EU legislation on “falsified medicines”, as well as coordination of international standards and regulations on medical device supervision. In addition, the two sides signed the Meeting Minutes on Cooperation Workplan (2012-2013) Between the State Food and Drug Administration of People's Republic of China (SFDA)and the Health Care Inspectorate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands(IGZ). Main directors of SFDA’s Department of International Cooperation, Department of Drug Registration, Department of Medical Device Supervision, relevant directors of SFDA’s Department of Drug Safety & Inspection, Bureau of Investigation & Enforcement attended the meeting.
