China-Denmark Food and Drug Regulatory Cooperation Centre officially launched

On May 3, 2017, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen who is making an official visit to China witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the China Food and Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Environment and Food of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Denmark on the Establishment of the China-Denmark Food and Drug Regulatory Cooperation Centre.

On May 4, 2017, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), the Ministry of Environment and Food of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Denmark held the open ceremony of China-Denmark Food and Drug Regulatory Cooperation Centre at the new site of the National Institutes for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC). Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and Arken Imirbaki, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress attended the open ceremony and made speeches, and visited the Institute for Chemical Drug Control of NIFDC. CFDA Minister Bi Jingquan, CFDA Vice Minister Guo Wenqi, Minister of Environment and Food of Denmark Esben Lunde Larsen, and the Acting Minister of the Ministry of Health of Denmark Karen Ellemann Kloch, unveiled the nameplate for China-Denmark Food and Drug Regulatory Cooperation Centre together and held round table talks.

More than 100 representatives from relevant departments of CFDA, government departments of Denmark and industries were present at the open ceremony.
